Howth Yacht Club burgee swap

Howth Yacht Club and SHSC have had many deep connections over the years. With more than a few Howth sailors making the annual pilgrimage to Calves Week year on year. With many more visiting yachts coming to explore the magic of Carbery's Hundred Isles.

A recent audit carried out by HYC turned up a bit of an anomaly, somehow over the many decades of interclub relations, a burgee swap between the clubs had never taken place! A fact club Commodore, Jack Allen was keen to remedy. Jack met with Howth Club member Tony O'Dwyer recently in Schull Harbour Hotel to do the honours.
